Hi guys and welcome to this Cuisinart DGB-900BC thermal coffee maker with grinder. During the course of this review I would like to try and bring all those who read to the end to the point where they can confidently make an informed decision as to whether this machine is for them or whether they might be better suited looking elsewhere for their coffee making needs.,
I will be covering both the pluses and the minuses of this brew and grind machine, but first I would like to start with a few issues that could lead to irritation if you are not informed about them. First we have no variable settings on the grinder, just the one option which is slightly too coarse. Also there is an issue when attempting to brew a 6 cup pot with any more than that amount of water in the pot.

For example if you were to brew a 6 six cup pot of coffee, but forgot that you had water for 8 cups in the water reservoir, you would unfortunately ruin the entire pot of coffee. This is because the machine will run the entire contents of the reservoir no matter which setting you choose on the panel. This is a little bit annoying, but once you are used to it, or if you are aware of it before hand it is very easy to circumnavigate.
I think the biggest selling point of this machine is comprehensive nature of it. While there are a lot of machines that have a thermal carafe, and a lot of machines which come with a grinder I don't think there are very many machines that do everything for you like this one does. You can pop your beans into the machine the night before, set the timer, and have a full freshly ground pot of coffee waiting for you when you wake up in the morning. This might sound a bit superficial but this very feature is probably why this machine sells so well.
